"Although there are some interesting historic film clips and some interesting facts --- who knew that Belleville Ontario was once Hollywood North? --- this is a rather plodding and unimaginative documentary. It seems to go on forever even though the running time is only 111 minutes. The alphabetical format is a sophomoric gimmick. One also gets the feeling that the producer had just acquired a home video editing suite and was anxious to try out every effect. The incessant crawls look like something out of Home Video For Dummies. Nor do they do more than token coverage of the way tax subsidized ..."
