This show frequently recycled plot points from other Roy Huggins' shows. The part about a bank officer stealing money from the bank so that he can run off with his lover was used in one of the first Maverick stories, Point Blank (1957). Huggins would use it again in a subsequent episode, The Ten Days That Shook Kid Curry (1972). The trick of having two people impersonate Heyes and Curry and force the boys to intervene to save their reputation would also be used in another episode.
