"Burgess Meredith as the Penguin played a fair number of episodes in this Batman series that clearly doesn't take itself too seriously. In this episode (I don't know how seriously), American politics, and especially campaigns, are ridiculed. The superficial nature of American elections is mercilessly pilloried. Entertainment attracts more voters than seriously addressing serious political issues.
