"A little background on this story, tag it Economics 101. Producer Paul Henning was always mindful of Granny's share of the Clampett oil fortune, amounting to 15 million bucks. And what happens if she marries or leaves home? Remember last episode she ALMOST got married. Granny is single, yes, though has another case of the back home "blues," feeling old and neglected. Best to throw in the towel and retire. ALSO means going back to the old cabin in the country and taking with her 15 MILL. That's the rub-a-dub here... Enter Mr. Drysdale who sounds the alarm. He has to hatch ..."
