"The seventh season started in a "serial" format. This episode was the first of eight in a row, all of which focused on a "witches council" meeting in Salem, Massachusetts. Should Samantha go? Should she be allowed to bring Darrin along? Not particularly interesting. The quite annoying Queen Hephzibah was played by Jane Connell, who would appear on Good Times as Thelma's drama teacher and All in the Family as Cybill Gouley. What a wide range of characters! This episode, like some others, really has only Elizabeth Montgomery's presence to recommend it...."
