It&apos;s Wayne Robinson&apos;s (Robert Blake) birthday and he goes down to the saloon to celebrate.

Only he cannot hold his liquor and the others riddle him. All because of young Wayne&apos;s fanatical Uncle Aaron Robinson (John Dehner.) A religious man who forbids alcohol.

When Wayne gets involved in a bar fight with loudmouth Billy Griggs for mocking him. Uncle Aaron has to pay for the damage to the bar, $100.

A disgusted Uncle Aaron publicly whips his nephew for drinking and going to the saloon.

When Billy Griggs is later found dead and his money stolen. Wayne is arrested and Clay Culhane agrees to look into his case.

Uncle Aaron accuses several suspects that he accuses. One of them was someone he fired for stealing.

A few twists here but one angry man was always going to be in the fame if young Wayne was going to be saved.

Young Wayne Robinson and his friends "celebrate" his birthday by going to the saloon for his first glass of whiskey., and winds up in a fight at the saloon because a loudmouth ridicules his religious beliefs. When Wayne's uncle--a fanatically religious man who has forbidden Wayne from drinking or going near the saloon--finds out what happened, he gives Wayne a public whipping in the middle of town. Later the loudmouth who started the brawl is found murdered, and Gib arrests Wayne for it. Clay doesn't believe Wayne did it and sets out to clear him before he's hanged for the murder.
