"I never really enjoyed it when this series went for a more lighthearted and frivolous tone. I preferred the grittier stories, but this one is ok. Cagney and Lacey investigate when a famous actress commits suicide. There are multiple suspects to grill and this plays like an episode of Murder, She Wrote--especially at the end where Cagney acts out what really happened. Salome Jens has a great scene playing a bitter rival of the deceased...."
