"COMMISSAIRE MOULIN is for me the longest and best crime series ever made by the French Tv industry, besides maybe MAIGRET; but the George Simenon's character offered something different in terms of atmosphere and style.... But if you compare - no sorry you can't compare - with garbage stuff as NAVARRO or JOSEPHIINE ANGE GARDIEN, MOULIN is really above the rest. It will last till 2008, after 70 episodes and thirty years, of ninety minutes stories. It was not a comedy series, though light hearted from time to time. Yves Renier will become a myth, he WAS Commissaire Moulin for the rest ..."
