"Peter Elgar has pleaded guilty to deception but not guilty to arson. The court hears how Elgar's antique shop caught fire, a fire that spread rapidly. Fire officer Roy Petit explains how a drum of paraffin in the back office was the catalyst. Claims investigator Terry Green tells the court how Elgar had very recently purchased a number of valuable items, all of which apparently burned. There's definitely a bit of a Fawlty Towers flavour to this episode, with both Raymond Mason and Claire Nielson featuring in two great episodes.
