In the original script for Break Dance (which includes the subtitle Breaking Up That Old Gang of Mine) Leroy at first declined to coach the Enforcers, but was persuaded by Danny on learning Christopher was coaching the Silhouettes. However, Gene Anthony Ray was replaced after filming his first couple of scenes by Michael DeLorenzo.
