"The Fourmiles return from a winter break and Ann is not happy. She was expecting a skiing holiday but Jeffrey went to play golf instead. They return to find their house was burgled. Detective Sgt Burke is not happy with Jeffrey's class distinctions. Meanwhile the Ropers exchange gifts for their 24th wedding anniversary. Mildred gets George a pipe which allows him to do his Harold Wilson impersonation. George gets Mildred a carriage clock. He got it cheap from a man in the pub. Mildred later fears that the clock was a heirloom stolen from the Fourmiles and tries to give it back on the s..."
