"Rose gets the opportunity for a fancy promotion as a sports reporter and asks Dorothy for help to prepare. Meanwhile, Blanche grows concerned when her date, Mel Bushman, doesn't turn up, so she and the girls set off in search of him. It's an interesting episode - not exactly peak 'Golden Girls', but there are some good moments. First, Rose: they seem to be making her a little dimmer with each episode. I like her zany charm, but she's flirting with becoming a caricature. Poor Blanche has gone from someone who didn't stick to one man to someone genuinely in love -..."
