"Gomer reminded me (a bit) of Jethro on the BEVERLY HILLBILLIES, played to be the country bumpkin, easy pickens, EZ to fool with a hard luck story. Only difference is Gomer didn't have a multi millionaire uncle who could bail him out. Bill idelson, who also worked as an actor, wrote a sharp little con story featuring veteran actor Douglas Fowley, playing a way desperate, at the end of his rope senior called C. B. Sinclair. C. B.
