"Nothing in the world world makes Sgt. Carter's ears perk up like the words "Hollywood movie". And he hears them in this episode. They're looking for a platoon choir to be in a Hollywood movie and Sgt. Carter immediately sets out to create his own platoon choir so that he can be in this Hollywood movie. So he auditions the men in his platoon to find out who can sing and who can't. Luckily, there are some wonderful singers in his platoon, the best among them being Gomer Pyle. So they're all set, right? Wrong. Sgt. Carter wants to sing, too. Oops. He can't sing...."

💡 Did You Know?

This a slightly reworked version of Barney and the Choir (1962). Gomer even mentions a song "number 14", and Barney Fife was singing "good old 14-A" in TAGS version.
