Meet The Beatniks
by Jimmy_the_Gent42021-06-22

"Richie meets Deirdre, a stranded beatnik girl and he invites her to stay in his home. A pretty good episode. The first scene takes place in a movie theater and a clip from "Shane" is playing. Richie soon finds out that Deirdre is pregnant. He finds her bongo playing boyfriend in a coffee house and brings him over. Funniest scene is Howard's reaction when he is told Deirdre's condition. Richie ponders leaving with Deirdre and her friends and go on the road. Another pop culture reference is when Ralph mentions Jack Kerouac's book "On The Road"...."
