This was the first of four episodes to feature Les Lannom as Lester Hodges. He returned in Lester Two (1975), Mister Five and Dime (1976), and The Mysterious Case of Lester and Dr. Fong (1976), the latter being a back-door pilot for a proposed but unproduced spin-off series. Les Lannom also made a couple pre-Lester appearances, beginning with the original pilot film, Such Dust as Dreams Are Made On (1973), and then as a bumbling eccentric in the series' premiere episode, Gertrude (1974).
