"When the story begins Lewis and Bayliss are investigating on the death of an African American boy that was attending a prep school of nearly all white students (the not white were only three) and was a computer genius. The investigation takes a turn for the worse when Lewis and Bayliss start confronting arrogant McPhee Broadman (Elijah Wood) that thinks to be superior to anyone only because her mom is a powerful judge; later, in a moment reminiscent of Jack Bauer from 24, Bayliss assaults McPhee for doing the bad cop and Lewis flatters McPhee for forcing the confession out of him and it comes ..."

The Choir of the boarding school used in the transition scenes that Wood's character belonged to was Maryland's Official Boy Choir, The Maryland State Boychoir. Wood and other cast members were fitted for robes to match the already established actual robes of the choir rather than make and redress an entire choir of extras.
