"This episode was a real treat. Having watched The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson for many years and seeing jack Benny's appearances on it a couple of times, I knew they had a long history. But I really didn't know any more than that. This episode gives some a lot of good information on the beginning. To help correct some misperceptions let me clarify that the Jack Benny Program on television was on CBS for its entire run until the very last year when it was on NBC.
