"As the other reviewer (Gryphon) says, this feature length special is rather an oddball, taking viewers (& this series was very popular when first shown) through the back story of Penny & Vince. The first episode of series 1 had them meeting, 5 years after Vince had jilted Penny at the altar, his telegram to say "it's off" never got read. And at the end of series 2 (before this special though!!) they'd got back together, but then Penny had the chance to go to Paris for work, expand her horizons, but it meant leaving Vince behind. Though she's been stuck on Vin..."
