"Another introduction of a characters past (Valene) that we'll never see again. Another very annoying handling of a situation by Val (even if she did empathize). Can you imagine inviting the daughter of an old friend who abandons the daughter without even consulting your spouse? And then getting defensive when the spouse objects even if the girl is unpleasant, moody and possibly a thief? That's your unpleasant plot in a nutshell. Another Val off the rails story. And the ending is oh so sweet The quality of the show improved so much once the stories were serialized. Guess it's bes..."
