"It's baffling why they would do a story like this because none of it made any sense. From Shirley getting the horse down the stairs to the basement apartment to Mrs. Babbish the landlady actually allowing it to stay---it's all too ridiculous even for a slapstick show like this. Throughout the whole episode I just felt terrible for the poor horse being used like that. I loved this show as a little kid in the 70's, but watching many decades later I find myself cringing at a lot of episodes. Most of the episodes don't hold up very well, and this episode is one of the worst...."
