First appearance of Edie Falco, who portrayed Defense Attorney Sally Bell in four "Law & Order" episodes from 1993 to 1998 until being cast on The Sopranos (1999). She also played a recurring character in two of Law & Order's sister series (both series had crossovers with L&O): Eva Thormann on Homicide: Life on the Street (1993), which is also the series that originated the character of Detective John Munch, played by Richard Belzer, who was a Baltimore PD homicide detective prior to transferring to the NYPD and becoming a main character on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999); & Sergeant Kelly on New York Undercover (1994).
