"Two Southern brothers are working their way west after losing their farm to the Yankees during the Civil War. Dishonest banker Logan (Lyle Talbot) fools them into taking gold and jewelry out of his bank. Supposedly, the banker wants to resurrect the Confederacy, but he really just wants the gold and jewelry for himself. The Lone Ranger and Tonto help them see the truth of the situation and return the riches to their rightful owner. When one of the brother asks is he is a northerner or a southerner, the Ranger replies "I like to think I'm an American first." We could use some of ..."
