"Lucy tries to save Ken Jones' dance studio from going under by calling in a favor from a Teamster. This episode combines two of the series' familiar plotlines: Lucy helps a random person in need/Lucy helps an unknown break into show business. When a Teamster almost loses a large sum of money at the bank and Lucy returns it, she has him repay her by bringing in about a dozen burly truckers to take dance lessons at Ken's struggling studio. Later, she has Ralph Story profile Ken on his TV show "Ralph Story's Los Angeles" where Lucy joins them in a big dance number..."

💡 Did You Know?

Ken Berry was a dancer long before he became known as an actor in shows like F-Troop and Mayberry R.F.D. As a child, he loved watching musicals and films starring Fred Astaire or Gene Kelly. Ken started tap dancing at age 12 and, at age 15, won a local talent competition. It was another competition--years later, for Ed Sullivan--that finally launched his career as an actor. In a 2012 interview, Ken admits that he always thought dancing would be his main vocation, while acting would be "something I would do between song and dance routines."
