&apos;Lonely Hearts&apos; Clubs

Does anyone remember &quot;sLonely Hearts Club? That&apos;s what singles groups used to be called back in the &apos;50s. Oh yeah, there have always been lots of lonely people in the world and different ways to get them together is nothing new.

The problem with this particular Lonely Hearts Club is that there is a killer among the group, a guy poisoning women to get....what else?.....money.

Making it personal for &quot; Lt. Det. Frank Ballinger&quot; (Lee Marvin) is that one of the victims is an old teacher of his, &quot;Miss Haskins&quot; (Molly Glessing), a kind lady Frank always liked.

Expect a few twists in this story as Frank goes underground once again, pretending to be a lonely guy looking for a woman, but finds out fairly fast he&apos;ll have to let people in on who he really is. It turns out that&apos;s the only way he&apos;s going to get cooperation and solve this crime.

Nobody is a standout in here but it&apos;s a pretty solid story that will keep your interest. as some people aren&apos;t who they first appear to be.
