"Stan seems to be going steady with Doreen, that is until he shows off his machine side, by lifting her up in the staff canteen, doing his back in. Poor, poor Stan, once before I drew parallels between Stan and Harold Steptoe, and I'd say there are shades here once again, Stan is such a lovable fellow, you hope something good is going to happen to him, but it never seems to. Arthur is definitely getting a little bolder, he's now tormenting Stan at every possible occasion, and he's quite ruthless. Several funny scenes, I thought the best of them was Blakey telling him the story..."
