"Miss Joan Crawford stars as Margaret Hughes who, as this starts, she visits the family friend and doctor Alan Gordon and receives the bad news that her husband David has an unnamed illness. From that point the drama ensues and becomes saccharine and weepy but in an engaging way. Margaret pushes David to chase after his dream job because "life is too short."
