The only thing that p.o.&apos;s James Rockford more than the threat of violence against him is threats or acts of violence against his loved ones. First is his dad, Rocky (Noah Beery), &amp; a close 2nd is his ex-girlfriend &amp; valued attorney Beth Davenport (played very well by Gretchen Corbett). So when somebody tries poisoning Beth, James Garner is all over the case. (When he &amp; his cop pal Dennis Becker visit Beth recovering in the hospital, and Jim holds her hand and shoots a look at Dennis, that&apos;s when I knew Jim had and would always love her. Which he did and would.) The Sicilian brothers, Frank &amp; Joseph Campanella, are guest stars in this episode, which I rate an 8 out of 10 stars, as I do most episodes with Beth Davenport.
