This episode included several shots of a very early widescreen imaging process called "Scanoscope". It was developed in the mid-50s but ultimately abandoned. In this episode, the Fire Dept. was supposedly viewing images of a massive dock fire in Long Beach, California using their own Scanoscope gear. The TV monitor they were viewing was labeled "Scanoscope - Wide Screen Telelvision" however the process was originally designed for movie production.
