Frank, played by Edward Asner, jokes that he goes to ballgames more than Hack Wilson, who was a professional baseball player from 1923 through 1934. During the time period the story of this episode unfolds he was an outfielder for the Chicago Cubs. He was a power hitter and held the record for home runs in one season, i.e. the 1930 season when he hit 56 home runs. He held that record until 1998, when both Sammy Sosa and Mark McGwire surpassed it.
