Wholesome Family Reminded Me Of The &apos;Cleavers&quot;

The opening to this first-season &quot;Ozzie &amp; Harriet&quot; show is something I&apos;ve never seen before. The announcer introduces all the main characters, and gives a quick summary of who exactly is the Nelson family. It&apos;s very strange.

The episode has to do with older brother Dave explaining about his Valentine&apos;s Day dance at the school and about his date. Ricky makes a lot of wise cracks. Even his mother tells him finally to &quot;get lost.&quot; The laugh track on this show, by the way, laughs at almost every line delivered. It&apos;s overdone.

This episode reminded me of Leave It To Beaver shows in which the kids are thought to be doing something bad, but really have good intentions. Here, Ozzie and Harriet think David is squandering all his hard-earned money on a new girlfriend, but it isn&apos;t the case.

Like &quot;Beaver,&quot; this TV show is a nice one that leaves you with a good feeling. It&apos;s also nice to see the kids have respect and get along so well with their mom and dad.
