"As an avid watcher of THE GHOUL (aka: Ron Sweed) from his introduction to Detroit (circa 1972 on channel 50), I was saddened to hear of his passing on April 1, 2019, though the idea of dying on April Fool's Day would probably make Mr. Sweed smile! Many thanks to him for making every Saturday night a laugh riot, in spite of / because of the schlock movies on display- most belonging in the old "porcelain receptacle"!. His anarchic alter ego's antics, along with his long-suffering, rubber sidekick, "Froggy", made for many happy memories of youth. I will never forge..."
