Doesn't get into the motives that well but the facts are fascinating enough to make this worth seeing
"In 2005 Robert Freegard was sentenced to life in prison for crimes that dated back over a decade. In 1992 he took a job in a small rural pub used by students from Harper Adams college and his natural charisma and energy made the place much livelier. A small group fall in with Robert and are intrigued by him and become even more so when he tells them that he is a MI5 agent working to expose an IRA cell. Robert asks one of them, John, to do unusual things like start fights, say he was gay etc to draw attention and allow Robert to work unnoticed. John brings some friends on board and soon Robert ..."
