"At least in this episode we have a handover as Seymour leaves because he has got at a job at a private school as a teacher and is looking forward to caning the kids. Clegg tells him that corporal punishment has been outlawed. Seymour was always a man out of his time from his first appearance in 1986 and remains so in his last appearance here in 1990. I do wonder whether he is a bit long in the tooth to be still a teacher as well.
