"Still a great show; I don.t know why I didn't watch it in 1971 when it came out I was living in London and didn't have a TV I guess I missed a great series which I'm able to enjoy now, living In America 53 years later This show absolutely captures life in 1942 I was born just after the war and in the 50,s life was poor and not so different Prime Ministers Atlee and Churchill were unable to make Britain wealthy and family life was much as shown depicted in this show What did happen to the show was that Colour was suddenly replaced y BLACK & WHITE No explanation and it still..."
