💡 Did You Know?
The Warrior King was created by Will Meugniot as part of a USA Network stunt in which the character appeared in all four of their then-running animated programs (in order of appearance: The Warrior King (1996) , Endgame (1996) , Resurrection (1996) and Recreation (1996) ) on the same day, November 16, 1996. Of the four shows, Savage Dragon is the only one that's not based on a video game, but on a comic book. Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm episode only features the orb, although the Warrior King does have a blink and you'll miss it completely silent cameo at the very end of the episode, but he's almost completely obscured by a shadow and thus nigh unrecognizable. The character was not used again after this epic crossover event.
