"The photographic quality in this picture should be made a subject of study and emulation by some other independent manufacturers. It indeed could hardly be improved upon. There is a full rendering of tonal values throughout that is a welcome change from the soot and whitewash too often seen upon the screen. The placing of the figures has also been handled judiciously, being not too close to and not too far from the camera.
