With the exception of Juliet and Aaron, the characters are named for the actors who played the roles in the 2004 version of the film. Captain Mansley is named for Adam J. Manley, Grace is named for Grace Carter, and Matthew is named for Matthew Baker. Even Hologram Phil is named for director Phil Guzzo, who portrayed the otherwise nameless part in his original version of this film. Most of these names, however, don't enter into the film anywhere outside of the credits.
