Louis-Jeremy Spieß produced the movie on his own, starting with his idea of the pun "Vorstellungsgespräch - Verstellungsgespräch". The shooting took place in his home. The dream, which forms the framework of the movie, was only introduced for one reason: Louis-Jeremy Spieß wanted to shoot that ladder accident.
