"Major Proctor of The Salvation Army has been attacked in The Salvation Army home, and two girls Josephine and Violet are missing, unfortunately the enigmatic Sergeant Cork is ill in bed. This is one of the more decidedly average episodes, I found the story very thin, and the characters a bit on the light side. The saving grace was William Gaunt, Marriott is finally put centre stage, and is very good. John Barrie is definitely the best thing about this show, and his absence from the main action is the problem, Sergeant Jones is decent, but that attempt at a Welsh accent isn't the greates..."
