The episode begins, musically, with the Regina Coeli in C Major KV 276, performed on the occasion of the choir rehearsals in Salzburg Cathedral. This choral work is reprised at various points during the episode and we hear it right at the end in its original form with full orchestral accompaniment. A central role is played in this episode by the strict visiting Cardinal, who is musically represented by the striking "Confutatis" from the Requiem in D Minor KV 626.
