💡 Did You Know?

A "Lidnerian Snap" is a Swedish expression that refers to a sudden increase in a person's intellectual ability. The expression is based on an anecdote about the Swedish eighteenth-century poet Bengt Lidner. The anecdote tells that Lidner, according to his own statement, was considered a highly mediocre school student, until one day at the age of eleven it "snapped" in his head in a painful, quickly transient way. After this "crazy", he proved to have excellent perception and good memory.
