"I guess I'm the only person here who thought that all the acting - apart from Danny Aiello, who was adequate - was wooden, hollow and unconvincing. I felt like I was watching extras doing a run-through before the real actors came to work. Characters were stereotypes (gay daughter, failure daughter, clueless son, ignorant, phone-addicted teen with no discretion), and there was no energy among the cast. Throughout I kept re-casting the film in my head, trying to imagine if the script was good enough that excellent actors could have made it work. Nope. It's predictable; no dramatic arc,..."
