"I think it is important to listen to people's perspectives especially when there is a fog of cultural divide between us. I am a white Canadian of European descent, hence I'm seen as a descendant of colonizers, and I followed this event through our national broadcaster. This documentary sees this event as a family member who is also from the same First Nation as Colten. I heard a deeper understanding of what happened that night and begin to understand how historical biases and fear clouded the event, and the desire to protect property and the availability of lethal force brought trage..."
