Andreas Stenschke was asked to take the role of Severin Schallert in "Staatsanwalt Posch ermittelt" after he made his professional debut as a director on the series in February 2007. The producers thought it would be intriguing and possibly of some media note to reunite Andreas with Andrea Suwa (Kim Diekmann in this show), as the two were previously seen in the long-running series "Verbotene Liebe" in which they played brother and sister Ulli and Jessica Prozeski. To further convince Stenschke, who has moved on to weekly series work in addition to directing, he received a fee more commensurate of night-time TV than the much smaller amount generally paid to daytime performers.
