&quot;The Baron Against the Demons&quot; is an utterly insane mixture. Alien muppets, ladies in leather and a bloodthirsty white haired warrior create a feeling of &quot;Barbarella&quot; meets &quot;El Topo&quot; while &quot;Farscape&quot; meets &quot;Elric of Melnibone&quot;. Shot in Catalonia and on Tenerife Island, it is quite impressive what a minimum budget production can achieve with the landscapes and models, which have the charming rusty look of Jules Verne&apos;s submarines. Occasionally very bloody, with many heads and limbs chopped off, the movie received a rather mild censorship rating (in Germany: FSK 16) due to the obvious use of puppets, I suppose. The movie&apos;s biggest problem is that it is terribly talkative. The hero is hit by a spear once in a fight, and instead of simply falling to the ground wounded and screaming, he begins a long monologue about the essence of pain, the spirit of fighting, God, the Devil and the rest of the world. Unbelievable. I wonder which audience this is aimed at, I wouldn&apos;t know who to recommend it to, but you can&apos;t take away one thing from the director: that he made something completely different.

In the closing stages of the 21st Century, an enigmatic warrior, called the Baron, leads the crusade that the religious organization Exorcio Deus Machine is conducting against the forces of Evil. During an extermination mission, the Baron is taken prisoner by the evil sorceress Lady Pervertvm and is tortured until she gets his seed. Lady Pervertvm uses the Baron's seminal fluid to fertilize the Beast-Ragnarok in order to have it engender the most powerful and ultimate race of demons. The Baron manages to escape but, blinded by his guilt, he begins a bloody Via Crucis which will start to reveal his true nature.
