Producer/director John Percy Lasher surreptitiously slipped a VHS copy of the film into a rummage sale at his church several weeks before its official release. This copy contained most of the bonus features from the DVD version, plus additional content such as one of his earlier short films, and a selection of trailers for the films which inspired Space Princess (such as Starcrash, Battle Beyond the Stars, and Space Raiders). It's listed price at the sale was 25 cents.
