"A fine advert for Hovis bread and directed by Ridley Scott, one of the many he ever created before becoming the filmmaker with the greatest eye for detail in countless films. It's cute and alright, as it takes you back to a distant time presenting a young boy and his efforts while pushing his back with a heavy load of bread and the difficulty of it all. Visually great to watch, but effervescent to last as a memory. Sir Ridley seems to reference himself, as the commercial makes something of a retrospective view to his early short film "Boy and Bicycle" (1965). Obviously the ad de..."
