Slow start but worth sticking with it
by BaronVonKolisch2022-03-14
8/10

"Considering that the cast is not exactly star-studded, the acting is reasonably good, and the tale unfolds in a fairly convincing and believable way, at least for the most part. The slow start may leave a few viewers cold, but it was worth persevering with for the dysfunctional family drama aspect, which pulls no punches. The murder mystery aspect largely plays second fiddle, but I found the final revelation to be a decent fit and was surprised at how it brought the whole story to a comprehensive and largely unguessable conclusion. - 7.8/10...."

💡 Did You Know?

One of the writers for the series is from the village of Lahinch which was the primary filming location. The producers picked the location without knowing it was her hometown. Also note the village is Lahinch not Lehinch, the "e" spelling was inflicted on the village by the national roads authority about a decade ago along with changing the spellings of numerous other towns and villages around Ireland but the most extreme examples all happened in county Clare. So when the filming locations are listed the spellings may or may not match those used by the local residents.
