"In its multi decade's long franchise history, Scooby-Doo has been put in almost any situation imaginable. Some incarnations are more formulaic than others. This series is definitely more so, however this particular episode manages to avoid most of the usual plot points until the end when we get back a sense of familiarity. Before that, "A Run Cycle Through Time!" utilizes a weird sci-fi structure that felt out of place in exactly the same manner it did during the more obscure Scooby/Shaggy/Scrappy 7 minute segments of the 80's.
